Thanks be to thee master cyde to allow me to post in this great sub-forum.

I noticed alot of influx of XM radio listeners on irctoo lately. As a XM subscriber all I wanted to know if there was xm2irc script out there that would play what song\station you are listening to kind of like the winamp2irc script. I was reading XMfan.com and there seems to be one out but they won't send it to anyone. How hard would a script like this be to make?

That isn't a bad idea, and if you have xm through your computer, or can irc through your satellite player somehow, it is feasable... the two would have to have a way to interface.

    not too hard

PVNet has a similar project called PlayMP3, that relays Winamp to IRC. I'm sure a modification could be added to allow this functionality, but it will really depend on some factors.

I could probably whip one up provided I had access to everything needed.

I don't think they have service in Canada.
A few months ago they were having a free trail period of like three days where you could listen to the online feed for free. I searched and searched their website but couldn't find anything on this, so I guess it has ended.

    vnc

even vnc access to a machine with the needed stuff would suffice.

I am an xm subscriber as well. (It fucking rocks!) and have it in my car and an online subscription. I would also like the script if you guys manage to create one. :)
