An idea I've been messing with to use as the look and feel for the PureVanity.net website, and services offered through HTTP. Ideas? I'd like to choose something everybody likes, rather than redo the site every few months. I figure we can just get ideas, and then pass them along to a graphic artist to complete. --Dave
.. I've moved this thread into General Discussion in hopes to encourage some input from the rest of the forum. --Dave.
Looks a bit bland, and the blur on the edge of the white boxes is a bit overzealous. I don't like it much, but I don't much matter . I dig the color choices and the idea of the layout, just not the style of the borders etc. EDIT: After staring longer at it, I retract my statement about overzealous borders, as the second pic you have fixed the buggers.
My ideas were to lay things out like a software application. I agree with the shading and whatnot on the first set of pics, as it was large to illistrate the point. I've shrunken them down yet again, along with the blue shades entering the white. It's a much more prounounced line now. I'll post some ideas for the menu system, and other features I was thinking about later. Thanks for the input. --Dave
[6:12.49p] <@Rob> It's odd [6:13.02p] <@Rob> the bottom right half pops way out of the page, and the upper left doesn't As per Rob's suggestions, I've tried to 3d-up the top/left side of the box. I left this one with the large corners, but its simple so shrink them down again, depending on people's preferences. --Dave
...another example i guess... The Main 'PureVanity.net' logo, and the 'PVNoc' logo and icon are just quick examples I drew up to illistrate the idea. We need a logo, and whatnot eventually. Ideas? We're starting development on the new box on Monday, and we should have a somewhat firm decision on the template. If anybody has any other ideas, please post them, even if they are totally different. Examples are most welcome. --Dave

I urge you, however, to stay away from Times New Roman for any of the displays. It reminds me too much of surfing the web back in like 1995.
