Why do we need this? Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't we going to have individualized interest-based moderation instead of a blanket usergroup? Too many cooks spoil the meal.
Well, vbulletin has a 'suer moderator' group who can mod all forums. I figure, if we need some who needs to mod all (non-admin) forums, we can add them to it.
Hahaha -- yeah, I agree. What I was thinking was having moderators for each section, yes. I would rather people watching the whole threat, and others form the same forum do the moderation, even if it takes a bit longer for that moderation to take place. I would also like to have a group of select people who will moderate the whole forum. We have general polocies that need to be enforced as well. Just my 2c. --Dave
and thats just right now.. what about in a year? When we have more activity, we will need more 'general' moderators perhaps, but this will really depend on the amount of individual moderators we have activly working the forums. About the PVNet section, we can restrict moderation to that as much as needed, I trust your judgements. --Dave
I'm thinking of opening the Scipts/Documentation forum for regular post/reply access. More people may wish to comment on script projects they'd like to see... and honestly I'd like their input.
If we are going to spread out, we really need to organize. We should still split all script projects into offical projects, and whatnot that go through the normal stages. If we want to set up a codebase system that lets users contribute source code, thats something that can be proposed as a project. *shrugs*
