Which movies have the best soundtracks? Here are my top three in no particular order. 1. Donnie Darko This movie didn't go over to well with the public mainly because of it's post Sept. 11th release. The movie was pulled from theaters because it showed a jet engine destroying a suburban household. Since then the movie devoloped a cult following. This movie is loaded with great songs from the 80s by bands like by Tears For Fears, the Church, Echo & the Bunnymen, INXS, Joy Division, Duran Duran. It also includes tracks of 80s style synths that goes well with the sense of dread of the film. The Tears for Fears song at the end of the movie really makes you think. If you haven't seen this movie check it out soon. You won't regret it. 2. Forrest Gump Song for song this has to be one of the top movie soundtracks. Altho the songs may seem like abunch of songs thrown together at random or a cassette that you will find under your buddies passenger seat labeled "oldies but goodies." But every song fits the time period of the film and is relative to the movie in some way. 3. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II "GO NINJA GO NINJA GO!" enough said.
Team America: World Police 1. Everyone Has AIDS 2. Freedom Isn't Free 3. America, Fuck Yeah 4. Derka Derk (Terrorist Theme) 5. Only a Woman 6. I'm So Ronery 7. America, Fuck Yeah [Bummer Remix] 8. End of an Act 9. Montage 10. North Korean Melody 11. Team America March 12. Lisa & Gary 13. F.A.G. 14. Putting a Jihad on You 15. Kim Jong II 16. Mount, Rush, More
Hacking Go I personally like the soundtracks from the movies Go, and Hackers. Go is an amazing movie with a great soundtrack. If you've never seen this one, you should check it out. This isn't a movie for younger ones. (yay!) Hackers was okay for its time, and is more of a cult hit as a joke rather than as a quality representation of the scene. The awesome soundtrack albums that this movie spawned are well worth their shelf price, as well as putting up with the retarded parts of the movie. --Dave
Go - I never seen this movie but I will add it to my netflix que. Hackers - I really don't remember the soundtrack from the movie. All I remember from the film is somebody made a parody of it using screencaptures from the movie. One of the screen caps said something like, "hey, doesn't that new kid look like Dawson from Dawson's Creek?" If you never seen this parody I can prolly look it up and find it. It's probably been a good 6-7 years since I'd seen it. I don't think I ever will forget that screen cap, because who doesn't like laughing at Dawsons Creek?
dumb & dumber soundtrack has some good tunes, especially the remake Butthole Surfers did of Hurdie Gurdie Man (original was by devon or damien or something.. his name escapes me at the moment) **EDIT: Donovan is his name kthx PinkFloyd - The wall (i guess it doesnt REALLY count since it was an album before a movie, but i throw it in there anyways) Dave yea the 'go' soundtrack was good.. especially the song by Jimmy Luxury & The Tommy Rome - Cha Cha Cha (-Go- Remix).mp3 -feek
