IMDB Link: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0109445/ A must see movie. I admit the movie takes a bit to get going, but its very funny. The movie documents a day in the life of two clerks, Dante and Randal, and all their waky customers. This is the first movie in the Jay and Silent Bob seris. An amazing fact about this movie is that it was made for $27,000. That may sound like a lot of money, but in terms of most movies, that's a buffet lunch for some executives. This is one of the most watched movies in my collection, and is well worth the investment. --Dave
I remember going to see this movie when it first came out with at few friends. It was showing in a small independant theather in the city. We went to see it not really knowing what to expect. We came out the movie presently surprised. What do you think about them making a Clerks II? My feeling is sequels are never as good as the first movie. A part of me doesn't want them to make it and the other part is dying to see Jay and Silent Bob in another movie. Kevin Smith said he was thru making Jay and Silent Bob films. But he also said that if Mewes stays off of thee drugs he will make thee film as a promise to Jason. Another good movie to watch.. well it's really not a movie, more of a documentary is "An Evening with Kevin Smith." It's fanfuckingtastic. If you are a fan of Kevin Smith or his movies\comics you really need to check this out. Basically, all it is Kevin Smith going around to different colleges and bullshiting with college students. He's stands infront of a podium on a stage and fields questions from audience members. The running time is around four hours long, but it was so well done you hardly notice the time go by. I watched this straight thru and never was really bored. When it ended I was kind of depressed. I wanted it to go on for another 4 hours. Also, Jason Mewes makes a short appearence.
Clerks II -- we'll see, I'm not fond of sequels. As long as he does't got all Jlo/assflack this time I'll at least check it out. I almost bought 'An Evening with Kevin Smith' at one point. It was kind of expensive, and the cover is apparencly deceving with its cheapo looks. I might go and grab it now. --Dave
Figured I'd post some more to this thread since its been a while, and Clerks II came out yesterday. I bought "An Evening With Kevin Smith" a few months ago, and damn it is funny. Well worth the cash to check it out. I hopefully will get to see Clerks II soon. I hear its pissing off a lot of critics, so it HAS to be good. --Dave
