Hey everybody,
Just wanted to announce that a new round of PVIdle has started. If you had a registered account before, you will need to re-register you player.
If you are new to PVIdle, you can join the fun by firing up your IRC client, and pointing it to irc.purevanity.net on the IRCtoo chat network, and joining #PVIdle.
You can register a new player by simply typing:
/msg PVIdle <your players nickname> <your desired password> <your class>
For more information about the game, see the PVIdle website, http://pvidle.purevanity.net/.
Round One of PVIdle started on Jun 23, 2005 and ran until Oct 7, 2005. I will be posting the final results in the form of a static page for historical purposes soon.
I, personally, like the idea of having 6-month long rounds, and I believe it will promote new user registrations, and increased awareness of the game. A level playing field is a much more appealing environment to start fresh with the game.
If people are into the idea of having a non-resetting game, I wouldn't mind setting up a second copy of the game (allowing you to participate in both simultaneously) that won't reset. Input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for playing PVIdle!
